Doug Walter, is an architect and NKBA member in Denver, who has specialized in residential remodeling for the past 40 years. He has special expertise in lighting, accessibility, historic preservation, and kitchens & baths. Since 2015, he has been a Contributing Editor for Pro Remodeler magazine, where he has penned about 10 articles on lighting. Doug was one of the most popular presenters at KBIS 2019 and will be doing a two hour lighting workshop at KBIS 2020.

Winner of over 150 local and national design awards, he was recognized as one of the “2018 Top 50 Innovators” by Kitchen & Bath Design News (K&BDN) magazine, and is an active member of NKBA, IES, AIA, AIBD, ICC , and NAHB. Doug is currently serving on one national working group for NKBA, charged with rewriting the Kitchen & Bath Design Guidelines, and another, creating the Lighting Badge.
