Congratulations to Christy Bowen, CMKBD!
She is the proprietor of Twelves Stones Designs, LLC, in Austin, Texas, an award-winning interior design consulting firm that specializes in kitchens, bathrooms and universal design. Christy earned her design degree from the University of North Texas in 1998, and she started her career working for a high-end cabinetry dealership. She eventually worked as an editor and liaison for a cabinetry firm in New England before forming her own business in 2009.
Christy loves giving back to the community and industry by being an active member in both her NKBA and NARI chapters. She was previously the Vice President for the NKBA Texas Hill Country chapter, and she coordinated meetings, networking events and public service programs.
“Being a certified member specializing in kitchens and bathrooms sets me apart from other designers in the industry,” Bowen said. “The certification programs comprise comprehensive and rigorous courses that go beyond teaching about function and aesthetics; they dig deep into the technical and building aspects of how to construct kitchens and bathrooms to speak intelligibly to the contractors who are building my designs.”
She is part of NKBA’s Texas Hill Country Chapter.
