• LIEBHERR, MODE EXPAND DEAL: Liebherr Appliances has expanded its sales agreement with Mode Distributing, a premier home appliance distributor in the western U.S. that currently represents Liebherr products in Arizona, New Mexico and parts of Nevada. This month, the territory grew to include Wyoming, Utah and Colorado. This includes the full line of Liebherr products, such as freestanding refrigerators, under-counter products, the full wine preservation portfolio and the newest Monolith column refrigeration line. Liebherr has more than 60 years of German engineering expertise. Its U.S. division, Liebherr USA, is based in Miami and is one of the parent firm’s 130+ companies operating in more than 50 countries. Mode was established in 2012 and is among the top distributors of high-end appliances in the western U.S.
  • KSI KITCHEN & BATH NAMES NEW CEO: KSI Kitchen & Bath, a provider of best-in-class design concepts and products throughout Metro Detroit, southeastern Michigan and Ohio founded in 1971, this month named industry veteran Tony Achatz its new CEO. He joins KSI from Cabinetworks Group (formerly Masco Cabinetry), where he served as director of sales and led the dealer channel across the U.S. The company also revealed plans to move and upgrade its Birmingham location, expected to be complete by the end of the summer, and will open a new location for its  Cabinets Express subsidiary in Sterling Heights, Mich., expected to be online by August.
