Susan grew up in a military family living across the United States, then attended college in Savannah, GA. After graduating from Savannah College of Art and Design, Susan moved to NYC and began working as a designer in the advertising industry.
After living in NYC for 13 years, Susan and her husband, Will, decided to buy a fixer-upper in the Hudson Valley named Stony Ford which led to their blog, House of Brinson in 2009. This project defined what would become their careers by shaping a creative, collaborative team together.
Over the next five years, their creative relationship evolved into them working full-time on projects together. The ongoing renovation project of the dilapidated mansion, Stony Ford, continues to lead the charge, followed by lifestyle, stories of adventures and food. Susan is recognized for her interior design and design consulting with commercial and residential clients.
Susan has participated in both the 2021 Luxury Summit as a moderator and the NKBA 2022 Luxury Bath Summit.
