Twas a holly-jolly evening for nearly 100 Designers, Industry Partners and Trade Professional at our annual Holiday Party and Silent Auction hosted by Expressions Home Gallery in the Dallas Design District.  Guests mingled, nibbled, sipped and stuffed the stockings of Operation Finally Home for the 7th straight year.

Rusty Carroll, of Operation Finally Home, led a touching moment when he spoke to the audience about the impact of donors, builders, veterans and projects have.

"Operation FINALLY HOME was established in 2005 as a nonpartisan/nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and has already had a significant impact across the country. To date, we have over 350 home projects completed or in planning in 33 states providing custom-built, mortgage-free homes and home modfications to veterans, first responders and their families, those who have worn America’s uniform and sacrificed so much to defend our freedoms and values. While we are very proud of the work we have been able to do, we are keenly aware that there is much more to be done."

In just under three hours, $5000 was raised! With 50 donations of Helath & Wellness, Entertainmrent, Food & Drink, Home Goods and Business Service items, the most heartfelt donation came from Ms. Monica Williams. It is on her bucketlist to donate $1 million dollars in her life time. She drove over 5 hours from Little Rock, Arkansa to hand deliver her donation basket from Hudson Publishers.

Santa also made a special apperance. He was sent to ask the designers their one Christmas wish. "If the reinder didnt have aquaphobia, I would have already sent Rudolph and the crew to resuce the container ships and deliver everyone a complete project for Christmas. Even I can only do so much", bellowed Santa.

And laying his finger aside of his nose. And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose. He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle. And away they all flew like the down of a thistle. But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight—
“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
