May 2026 Dogs & Design
The NKBA Dogs & Design meeting confirmed what we already knew: great design takes vision, collaboration… and at least one dog acting like they own the joint. Huge thanks to Daltile for hosting us in their beautiful showroom, where we earned a CEU learning how to thoughtfully design for dogs from our incredible panel of three designers, along with creative ideas and practical material tips. We also loved hearing from our fourth panelist, a professional dog trainer, who shared valuable advice on interacting with dogs in our clients’ homes. We were inspired by Dallas Animal Services, collected donations for the shelter, and enjoyed viewing images of chapter members’ beautifully designed projects created with their clients’ pets in mind. Between the amazing artist sketching our pups, building LEGO pets, delicious eats from Uncle Julio’s, and networking with friends and colleagues, it was truly a paw-fect evening of learning, creativity, community, and connection.
