Alex Abramian, The PR Collaborative
Alexandria Abramian is the founder of The PR Collaborative, an online community for interior designers and photographers who want to get their work featured in the top design publications. After a 20-year career as a magazine editor and writer for publications including Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Elle Décor, Sunset, The Hollywood Reporter and the Los Angeles Times, Alex wanted to expand access, to the pages of shelter publications to the wider world of design professionals working on their own to get their media placements. Today the PR Collaborative boasts a vibrant community of motivated design professionals as well as a suite of tools and services to help them succeed.
Erika Heet, Interiors Magazine
Erika Heet is the Editor-in-Chief of Interiors Magazine. Prior to Interiors Magazine, Erika has been working in publishing for more than 20 years, including years spent as a senior editor at Architectural Digest and Robb Report. She has written for Architectural Digest, Robb Report, Interiors, Bon Appétit, Sierra Magazine, and The Berkeley Fiction Review. She recently wrote the foreword to New Tropical Classics: Hawaiian Homes by Shay Zak.
Amala Raj, Amala Raj Interiors
For Principal Designer and Founder, Amala Raj Swenson, interior design is a family tradition. She grew up in the industry, as both her parents are suppliers of natural and recycled stone materials, which create unique and beautiful spaces.
Amala recognized the power of design and travelled to pursue her passion at the New York School of Interior Design, where she cultivated her skills in the areas of textiles, colors, drafting, and environmental movement. Servicing client's in San Diego County, Los Angeles County, and The Silicon Valley, her work has been featured in publications such as Forbes, Architectural Digest, Apartment Therapy, MyDomaine, San Diego Home and Gardens, San Diego Union Tribune and more.
In addition to her design work, Amala has been design competition judge for the NKBA British Columbia Chapter and a judge for the NKBA Northern California Chapter prior to adding Silicon Valley to her service area.
