Cultural dynamics have long influenced design trends.  As people travel and experience this beautiful and diverse world we live in, culture is finding its way across the nations. Culture can refer to traditional things such as language, music, food, and more recently, internet trends.  During this presentation we will examine how current dynamics, such as wanderlust, influence culture and impact design.

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to :

• Define and explain the impact of cultural dynamics
• Discuss the main dynamics influencing design today
• Identify and describe the varying styles on the spectrum of modernism, and explain the main color trends that are influencing modern design.

Our presenter Abi Dickerson started with Kohler Co in 2015 as a sales executive with a focus on wholesale distributors and their customers.  Abi’s focus is within the showroom channel to ensure up-to-date displays and current training for showroom associates in Indiana.  A lifelong Hoosier, Abi graduated from Indiana University and resides in Indianapolis with her husband, children, and a rambunctious black lab.
