What happens when you mix Vancouver’s premier design showrooms with a bit of festive spring spirit? You get the NKBA BC Designer Hunt and Hop!
On Wednesday, April 1st 2026, the NKBA British Columbia Chapter hosted a high-energy morning of networking and exploration. Interior designers, architects, and industry professionals gathered in the heart of the Armoury District for a "design adventure" that was part showroom crawl, part scavenger hunt, and all inspiration.
If you missed out on the fun, here’s a look back at the stops that made the day so special.
The morning kicked off at Cosentino City Vancouver, where the energy was palpable. As the starting hub, attendees fueled up and geared up for the hunt. Between admiring the latest in Dekton and Silestone surfaces, designers received their "marching orders" and began the search for the first of many hidden eggs.
Participants spent the morning "hopping" between four of the city's most prestigious design destinations. Each stop offered a unique look at the latest trends:
Kravet: A feast for the eyes for anyone who loves textiles and wallcoverings. Designers explored the newest collections, touching and feeling the fabrics that will define the upcoming season.
CF Interiors: Known for their curated furniture and lifestyle pieces, CF Interiors provided the perfect backdrop for networking. Attendees chatted about project ideas while scouting for eggs nestled among chic vignettes.
Ann Sacks: The hunt continued through aisles of breathtaking tile and stone. From hand-crafted ceramics to avant-garde mosaics, there was plenty of eye candy to keep everyone inspired.
While the "egg hunt" added a playful, competitive edge to the morning—with lucky winners taking home prizes—the real "finds" were the connections made. The event offered a relaxed environment for designers to chat with showroom reps, learn about new product launches, and catch up with colleagues they hadn't seen since the winter months.
By 1:30 PM, the "Hop" concluded, leaving everyone with full goody bags, new contacts, and a fresh wave of creative energy for their spring projects.
A huge thank you to our generous hosts at Cosentino, Kravet, CF Interiors, and Ann Sacks for opening their doors and welcoming the design community with open arms.
