Each year NKBA’s chapters are recognized during the Chapter Star Awards at Chapter Officer Training. Top honors include the Denise Dick Chapter Officer of the Year and Best Chapter President awards, and this year one person took home the win in both categories.

Sandee Mann, Sales Executive – Western Canada Showrooms for Kohler Canada and 2021 NKBA British Columbia Chapter President, received these honors. Mann previously won the Best Chapter President Star Award in 2017. 

“When I joined the NKBA chapter board I never intended to be the President,” said Mann.. “In 2016 I noticed we were a fragmenting chapter and really wanted to help create stability and saw so much opportunity for growth.”

With the support of his fellow chapter officers, Mann more than tripled his chapter members to over 900 in the last few years. They had the chance to give back to the community during Mann’s last year as president by renovating a women’s shelter for the Community Restoration Project.
