In strong support of the importance of housing in building strong communities, President Biden unveiled a $2 trillion transportation and infrastructure package that includes more than $200 billion to build, preserve and retrofit more than 2 million homes and commercial buildings. The plan aims to make housing more affordable and energy efficient, among other initiatives, and also includes funding for workforce development.
The White House now will work with Congress to turn the proposal into legislation.
