NKBA CEO Bill Darcy appeared on FOX Business on Monday to discuss the results of a recent member survey conducted by the association to assess the early impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the industry. Interviewed by anchor Melissa Francis on “After the Bell,” Darcy related that 68% of members report significant impact on their businesses from the crisis, and while 50% of projects have been delayed, fewer than 20% have been cancelled. He said, though, that before the pandemic hit, there was robust business in the pipeline that has been keeping many members busy, and is likely to keep them working for several weeks to come. Darcy was also on Fox Business on Friday, interviewed by Jeff Flock on “Mornings with Maria,” to talk about the DIY market, and how it helps give consumers a “sense of control over their environment” at a time when uncertainty dominates. See that segment here.
