Outdoor living and well-executed exterior kitchens and plumbing are becoming an increasingly important — and lucrative — part of the kitchen design world. The Remodeling Show and DeckExpo, a co-located event focused on residential building, remodeling and deck construction, has offered NKBA members a free pass to its expo and a 10% discount on its educational conference sessions.
The expo runs Nov. 7-8 while the conference is Nov. 6-8 in at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville. Several learning sessions will take place on Sunday, Nov. 4, and Monday, Nov. 5, as well.
The conference will offer two “boot camp” sessions, four hours each: one in finances for owners and managers of construction businesses, and the other in team-building and effective leadership.
The conference program has been revamped this year. More than 45 seminars during the conference are categorized in seven tracks: Building Performance Strategies, Business & Project Management, Business Finance, Decking, Human Resources & Legal, Planning & Design and Sales & Marketing.
