Congratulations to Katherine McBride on earning her AKBD!
Katherine McBride, an interior designer with Artisans Group in Olympia, Wash., graduated with honors from the Art Institute of Seattle’s Interior Design program in 2017. On her first project as lead designer, she received Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice Awards for Best Home Remodel of 2018 by the Olympia Master Builders. Artisans Group specializes in modern architecture and sustainable, Passive House design — a standard of energy efficiency that reduces a building’s footprint and impact on the environment. Katherine believes that great design starts with a “profound understanding of the human element,” and that “knowledge of how we live in and interact with our environment is paramount to implementing a successful design strategy.”
