Congratulations to Barbara Martorelli on earning her AKBD!
Barbara is principal designer of Vesta Kitchen & Bath Consulting in Brooklyn. She began her career in the design industry as a graphic designer for a New York advertising agency in the Eighties. After about seven years, she returned to college to pursue a degree in architecture, and refined her drafting/rendering skills as an intern for a local architecture firm. In 2002, Barbara opened a cabinetry manufacturing plant where she designed on and operated advanced CNC machinery to produce pure custom furniture and cabinetry. In 2007, she collaborated with a Manhattan design/build firm with a primary focus on luxury kitchens and baths; subsequently Barbara opened Vesta Kitchen & Bath Consulting located in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn in 2012.
Barbara is also president of New York Cosmopolitan Cabinetry Corp., providing KCMA/ESP-certified custom cabinetry in all styles/species of wood as well as luxury acrylics. She’s a member of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, the Brooklyn Heights Association, the US Green Building Council, the NY & NJ American Society of Interior Designers, holds CAPS certification and is working toward CLIPP certification.
