A special luncheon exclusively for NKBA certified designers will take place on the first day of the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, Tuesday, Feb. 19, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Room N109-110.

Nov. 1, 2018. The dedication of the Ellen Cheever Collection to the Center for Real Life Design in the Department of Apparel, Housing, and Residential Management.

This special networking event will feature Ellen Cheever, CMKBD, ASID, CAPS, CLIPP, as guest speaker. An influential, award-winning industry figure, Cheever is a longtime member of the NKBA and was inducted into the Kitchen & Bath Hall of Fame in 1992. In November, the Cheever Design Library at Virginia Tech’s Center for Real Life Design, to which she donated her life’s work, was dedicated in Blacksburg, Va.

She’s a designer, textbook author, teacher and researcher, and was instrumental in creating many of the industry’s technical standards. She’s taught many aspiring designers and related industry professionals in the art and science of kitchen and bathroom planning and design,will share observations and reflections from her storied career at the luncheon.

Tickets are $40, and registration is required. Anyone wishing to attend must hold a Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer or Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer designation.
