Home remodeling is expected to grow through 2025, according the latest housing report released last month by the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies. The trend is being attributed to multiple factors — strong real estate and job markets play a strong role. Older homeowners in coastal areas with high real estate value account for much of the projected growth. Read more here.
TJX, the parent company for Home Sense, the new chain of stores spun off from Home Goods, plans to open 400 more stores. The brand initially launched last fall with four U.S. locations (all in Massachusetts and New Jersey), and will start its expansion by adding 15 new stores this year. The locations are TBD.
Iconoclast, nonagenarian, sometime spokesperson and all-around style star Iris Apfel has teamed up with e-commerce site Grandin Road for her latest collaboration of whimsical furniture and accessories.
