The National Kitchen & Bath Association, intent on building brand awareness of the organization and the industry it champions, has launched its first flight of television commercials on DIY Network.
The two 15-second spots will run back to back, following a “DIY Download” one-minute segment that offers tips on a home-improvement project, making for a 90-second branding opportunity. These all stress the importance of using professionals whom consumers can trust to design and execute residential kitchen and bath renovations.
“The NKBA is the place individuals can find inspiration and qualified professionals to work with them as they remodel their kitchens or baths,” said Bill Darcy, NKBA’s CEO. “It’s also where the pros in all related disciplines can find one another, whether a designer needs a contractor, a contractor needs a dealer, a dealer needs a remodeler, or a remodeler needs a designer.
“We want to reinforce that building a safe, beautiful, functional space is much harder than one might think,” he added. “So, it’s very important to work with a business you trust, and utilize the services of experts to avoid pitfalls and cost overruns that often plague the do-it-yourselfer.”
The commercials each show a woman in a beautiful kitchen or bath, ready to enjoy the space, when something goes wrong with the installation. The message is that a well-regarded professional can avert these problems, and that homeowners can find certified designers and remodelers at www.nkba.org.
“Projects can look easy when they’re boiled down to a 30-minute TV show,” Darcy continued. “But when the consumer gets into it and discovers the complexities of fine design and installation, they often realize they’ve taken on more than they can handle, and that a pro will ultimately save money, time and aggravation in the long run.”
The spots are expected to run through spring 2018, and are also viewable on YouTube by searching “2017 NKBA Commercial” on the platform.
