Chief Architect Software’s newest program helps designers create accurate designs and realistic renderings.
Chief Architect’s newest residential design software, X10, uses smart building technology that affords a faster design approach than traditional software. The new release supports both Windows and Mac platforms and offers a variety of new tools and enhancements to improve the design experience and productivity. At KBIS 2018, visitors will see several of the NKBA design finalists using 3D walk-throughs created in Chief Architect software. Additionally, the NKBA Study Guide and Kitchen & Bath Guidelines were published with Chief Architect.
“It’s exciting to see the wide adoption from the design community taking advantage of software that goes well beyond cabinet design,” says Scott Harris, vice president of Chief Architect.
Chief Architect has been providing software for designers for more than 20 years and the company continues to offer top tool sets for the professional design community. The Chief Architect product family includes two main packages: one for full residential design (Premier), and one for Interior design (Interiors). Designers can choose whichever best fits their needs, providing a fast and easy way to design for full residential construction or for interiors, including kitchen and bath.
The Chief Architect design process flows naturally and allows the designer to complete a project quickly and efficiently, thus increasing productivity. Design professionals are now able to create designs in a fraction of the time, owing to automated building tools for cabinets, ceilings, stairs, floors and whole house. It removes the complexity of the process and lets the designer focus on design concepts. Catalog objects from the software are smart, meaning they know how to interact with a design. For example, the program has smart cabinet tools that allow for quick creation of any custom cabinet style including shaped, framed and frameless. A designer can place a cabinet, resize or reshape it, then apply the colors, materials and doors styles. The program also has automatic plan- and wall-elevation dimensions compliant with NKBA standards.
Most clients can’t visualize a finished project prior to construction. To that end, Chief Architect can produce realistic 3D images and a full 3D model that can be sent to the client via web or mobile, allowing them to fully navigate and walk through the model. It’s a great way to engage an excite the client about starting the new project. Not only does the software provide visual feedback, it also provides all of the structural elements and CAD details for construction drawings.
Find out why more professionals are turning to Chief Architect Software for design flexibility and efficiency. With the software’s automated design and visualization tools, it provides a great advantage for the designer.
