The National Kitchen & Bath Association and the 2010/2011 NKBA Student Design Competition sponsors, Sub-Zero/Wolf®Company and Waypoint Living Spaces, would like to congratulate all of the winners! The NKBA and sponsors honored the winners at the NKBA Design Competition Luncheon held on April 26, 2011 at the Las Vegas Convention Center during the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS®).

This year, the NKBA Student Design is an upscale high-rise building on Lake Michigan in downtown Chicago. The owners of the condominium unit want to modernize the outdated kitchen to reflect a 21st century contemporary look. The bath project is to design a client-specific space where the owners can begin their day and prepare for their busy lives.

In the kitchen category, three place winners and two honorable mentions were awarded:

1st Place: Mary Anne Jarrell, Seminole State University of Florida, Heathrow, FL
2nd Place: Elaine Treadwell, Art Institute of Pittsburgh – Online – Pittsburgh, PA
3rd Place: Bettina Rasmussen, AKBD, Portland Community College – Sylvania, Portland, OR
Honorable Mention: Rebecca Butikofer (Coombs), Brigham Young University – Idaho, Rexburg, ID
Honorable Mention: Virginia Lewis, West Valley College, Saratoga, CA

In the bathroom category, three place winners and two honorable mentions were awarded:

1st Place: Alexis Cannariato, Brigham Young University – Idaho, Rexburg, ID
2nd Place: Kimberly Ann Fetzer, Brigham Young University – Idaho, Rexburg, ID
3rd Place: Elizabeth Enberg, St Louis Community College-Meramec, St. Louis, MO
