What You Will Learn

The PPG 2022 Global Color Forecast exposes the most significant color and design directions for the coming year, including discussions of influencers, attitude, styling, materials, textures, finishes and surface treatments as they apply to various residential and commercial market segments.

While looking into the horizon for better days and new things to come, we discovered that people, as they processed the recent past and considered the future, need to approach it from their viewpoint. Some want tomorrow to be peaceful, others full of hope and optimism and another group wants the future solidly connected to the past.

The overarching idea for the trends is HORIZON and is a symbol of reflection, hope and reverence. We are at the beginning of something new and looking into the Horizon. Under this overarching idea, we will explore how reflection, hope and reverence will manifest their unique color and shape narratives in the spheres of Design.

During this session, you will:

  • Uncover the global color direction in three distinct trend stories to be applied in both residential and commercial segments including multifamily, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, workspace, retail and more.
  • Discover how the consumer mindset evolved and influenced the color direction for 2022.
  • Improve your knowledge on the societal trends, events and materials influencing the upcoming color palettes and design trends.
