NKBA offers certifications in kitchen and bath design that demonstrate a level of proficiency in residential construction and mechanical and electrical systems. NKBA certified designers must maintain specific requirements to ensure they are always at the forefront of industry knowledge.
Education: An associate degree from an accredited institution is the minimum requirement. Interior Design and Architecture are common majors. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software is essential. NKBA supports programs that have special emphasis on kitchen and bath design.
