Hestan hosted a Sip ‘N’ Learn in their KBIS booth, where select designers learned about the brand’s new and upcoming products while enjoying Hestan Vineyards wine and light bites. Stanley Cheng, CEO at Meyer Corp (Hestan’s parent company), Basil Larkin, Senior Vice President of Sales at Hestan and designer Kerrie Kelly, CEO + Creative Director, Kerrie Kelly Design Lab, a Hestan brand ambassador, toured the designers around the booth.
Larkin and Kelly talked through Hestan’s appliances and products on display in the booth, including those from the Kitchen Suite, a custom and interior design friendly line developed in collaboration with Cosentino and the Bau Team. “We wanted to put all of our creative juices into action,” said Kelly, explaining the partnership, including the development of the first of its kind high-tech 48” range. Larkin added that Hestan’s various ranges were available in gas and induction, different sizes and twelve colors — making the appliances an option for highly personalized kitchen spaces.
Attendees were then introduced to products from the Aspire by Hestan line, a vignette featuring the brand’s partner Urban Bonfire that focuses on outdoor kitchens. The designers also learned about the Campania Pizza Oven™, a recently-introduced ceramic outdoor dome oven that is ideal for preparing pizza, steaks and vegetables.
On the other side of the booth, Stanley Cheng led a tasting of some of the Hestan Vineyard wines, detailing exactly how the wines were made and how he named the lines after his children. He also explained why Hestan’s cookware products are so impressive, going into detail about the NanoBond® Molecular Titanium Cookware, made with a material that makes these products 400% stronger than other cookware made from stainless steel.
“It’s not necessarily about making money, it’s about making something incredible,” said Cheng. “We can probably say we’re the best in the world.”
