The NYC Design Coalition’s Summer Social that followed NKBA’s Design + Tech Summit at Samsung 837 on July 25, 2023, was the design party of the season.

Members of the NYC Design Coalition, which include NKBA | KBIS and its Manhattan Chapter, American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Designers Lighting Forum NY (DLFNY), the Interior Design Society (IDS) and International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA), as well as members of lead sponsor Samsung’s executive team and the summit’s expert industry panelists, celebrated ‘circus style’ throughout the evening.

The event, titled “The Greatest Summer Social on Earth,” fully embraced its circus theme and featured “fire” jugglers, a fortune teller, a show with opera and musical theater songs and more. Samsung 837 was the perfect venue, with its vibrant, giant screen as the backdrop and the event taking over all three floors.

“It was a wonderful event and we are so grateful to our partners at Samsung who helped make this annual celebration possible,” said NKBA CSO & EVP Suzie Williford. “The space, the technology and the entertainment – it was an amazing experience!”

The evening concluded with a surprise giveaway, in which a lucky winner won a 55-inch Samsung Frame TV, followed by music. 

Williford also said that evening, “We can’t wait for next year, when we’ll learn about even more innovations in design and tech to share with you.”
