MIELE’S GREATEST GENERATION (SO FAR): In the largest product launch in its history, Miele unveiled its Generation 7000 line of built-in cooking appliances to the North American market in September. Pointing to Miele’s motto, “Immer Besser,” or “Forever Better,” Dr. Markus Miele and Dr. Reinhard Zinkann, executive directors and co-proprietors of the brand, and the fourth generation at the helm since their great-grandfathers started the company in 1899, emphasized that the Generation 7000 appliances outperform the previous collections in design, smart technology and innovation. The launch adds about 100 cooking appliances to the brand’s portfolio, including ranges, cooktops, combination, speed, combi-steam and convection ovens and built-in coffee systems. SKS EXPANDS WINE FRIDGE LINE: Signature Kitchen Suite broadened its wine refrigerator collection with a 24-inch panel-ready undercounter model. It features SKS’s Wine Cave™ technology, which mimics a classic wine-cave environment; minimizes vibration and temperature fluctuations; limits light exposure, and optimizes humidity, protecting collections from damaging environmental elements. With SKS’s Signature Sommelier™ app, wine collectors can manage their collections with photos of labels and shelf placement.
LIEBHERR’S BOTTOM FREEZER: Liebherr, a worldwide leader in residential and commercial refrigeration, launched a fully integrated collection of Monolith Bottom Freezer refrigerators in North America in the fall. The line is available in 30-inch and 36-inch widths, with panel-ready and stainless-steel door options that may be customized to client preferences, giving a timeless look with just the right touch of modernity. COMPUSOFT FLEXES ITS MUSCLE: After a successful European launch, software developer Compusoft launched its WinnerFlex design programs in the U.S. in April. WinnerFlex, which the European company released in the U.S. this month, allows designers and specifiers to create, showcase and provide pricing quotes quickly and accurately. The system is cloud-based, so designs are accessible at any time and from anywhere, and does not require extensive IT infrastructure.
DACOR ADDS NEW WINE SYSTEM AND FRIDGE: Dacor’s 36” counter-depth French door refrigerator-freezer with Dual Reveal™ doors and its 24” wine preservation system are the latest additions to its luxury lineup. The built-in wine dispenser houses up to four bottles of wine in a temperature-controlled wine dispensing and preservation system.
BLAZE INTRODUCES ELECTRIC SMOKER: Blaze, makers of premium outdoor grills, introduced a built-in electric smoker constructed from 304-grade stainless steel and backed by a lifetime warranty. The water-resistant design withstands harsh weather conditions, is easy to use and versatile enough to slow-cook virtually anything from ribs to cheese on its three temperature settings. It features ample cabinet space and five slots to arrange cooking racks for optimal performance and results. Read more here.
MONOGRAM’S LOWER 48: Monogram unveiled its premium 48″ Professional Range, which won the Architectural Digest Great Design Award for its meticulous design and engineering. Luxury details include solid brass accents, smooth-glide racks and soft-close doors, and select models feature an industry exclusive TrueTemp™ gas burner. The burner offers a precision temperature-management system that delivers a consistently delicious cooking experience on a 21,000 BTU burner. Monogram’s TrueTemp™ gas burner is also compatible with Hestan Cue for a step-by-step guided video cooking experience.
TRUE’S NEW LOW PROFILE: Luxury refrigeration specialist True Residential launched its Low-Profile collection of state-of-the-art ADA-compliant designs. The new line comprises a variety of 24” undercounter units UL-rated for indoors and outdoors, including a refrigerator, beverage center, wine cabinet, and refrigerator drawers. Each unit measures 31 ⅞ inches high (rather than the original sized 34 ¼ inches) to meet the 32-inch height regulation allowing for installation under ADA-compliant countertops. And each unit is designed with R600a, an environmentally friendly refrigeration system with a Zero Ozone Depletion Level and a low Global Warming Potential (GWP). True also said it is opening its first fully dedicated showroom next spring, a 1,750-square-foot space in New York’s A&D Building.
