Jan Heck, President and CEO of Miele USA, began his one-year term as Chair of NKBA’s 2023 Board of Directors in January. Three months into his tenure as 2023 Board of Directors Chair, we checked in with Heck and asked him to tell us how he thought NKBA might impact the kitchen and bath industry in the future.
“The National Kitchen and Bath Association has spent 60 years educating and uniting the industry during both challenging and booming economic times,” said Heck. “And over the many years to come, our industry, whether you are a manufacturer, retail organization, or a trade professional, will continue to lean on the NKBA to provide the guiding principles and tools to succeed through industry trends and insights; continuing education opportunities; or recruiting and bolstering the next generation of a skilled and passionate workforce.”

Heck joined the NKBA Board in 2020 and has been actively involved in helping move the association’s goals forward. When he was elected Chair, he said: “I am truly honored to take on the Chairman role. The NKBA has accomplished many great achievements and I hope to encourage many more.”

Prior to his US leadership, Heck assumed the role of President of Miele Canada in April 1999. Previous to Miele, he had multiple leadership roles including President of Bizerba Canada and Managing Director of Bizerba UK, a global leader in weighing technology. He is also the chairman of the board of the German American Chamber Commerce New York.
