Netherlands-based brand expands in the North American Market with its customizable precision burners that integrate into countertops

The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), representing nearly 50,000 North American kitchen and bath industry professionals and the owners of the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), welcomes PITT Cooking as its newest NKBA Global Connect Program Member.

PITT, founded in 2009 and based in De Meern, Holland, offers fully integrated gas burners that safely install directly into a counter surface.

“We offer a professional-grade experience for the discerning home cook,” said Mark Nichol, who runs U.S./Canadian distribution for the company. The precision burners are hand-made in the Netherlands and currently available in 56 countries. Nichol said they are now expanding in North America.

Pitt’s versatile burners may be used indoors or outdoors and complement a wide range of design styles. PITT offers 21 different configurations with one to six burners in multiple sizes, giving off 2,000 to 20,000 BTUs. A five-burner setup is the bestseller, Nichol noted, adding that the aluminum knobs may be top-mounted or front-mounted.

The burners are easy to install, come with a five-year guarantee and are safe for any countertop surface except wood. Stone, engineered surfaces, glass, porcelain, quartz and other materials are all compatible. Patented heat shields, reflectors and heat conductors protect the counter to keep the surface safe to the touch. Cleaning is easy, Nichol said, because the parts pop off and are dishwasher safe and each unit is fully sealed onto the countertop. Induction surface cooking will be available later in 2023.

PITT aims to build a strong dealer, designer and builder network in North America, Nichol said. One of its goals is to help consumers think differently about how their kitchens can look and perform. “Customers can get out of their comfort zone and demand a performance cooktop product to be at the center of their home.”

“We are delighted to welcome PITT Cooking as a member of NKBA Global Connect,” said Suzie Williford, EVP and chief strategy officer of NKBA. “At NKBA, we strive to help the international kitchen and bath community make connections among manufacturers, specifiers, designers, sales and trade organizations in North America and around the world. We are gratified to be the catalyst for these connections, which help strengthen and grow the market the world over.”
