Get ready for our first West Michigan student design competition!  This design challenge competition will take place in the Spring of 2025 and will be judged by prestigious local design professionals. Cash prizes are included! Students will have a chance to win up to $1000.

This competition is open to all collegiate students within NKBA’s West Michigan Chapter.  Schools include Western Michigan University, Ferris State University and Central Michigan University.

WINNERS RECEIVE:

Cash prize: 1^st place: $1000, 2^nd place: $500, 3^rd place: $300 (as well as a personalized award!)

Mobile award ceremony: Our NKBA West Michigan board and judges are excited to come to you in person and present your award, check, and a treat.

Social Media feature: Become known in the local industry! The winner’s project and bio will be shared on NKBA’s website, Facebook page, and our digital newsletter.

By taking on this design challenge, students will be re-designing a primary bathroom suite to suit the living-in-place needs of a client. This is a fantastic opportunity to put your skills to the test and gain valuable experience!

You will also learn about and select from a wide range of products featured by sponsors across the kitchen, bathroom, and interior design industry.
