"NKBA’s prestigious Thirty Under 30 program recognizes accomplished young professionals under the age of 30 who are making a mark in kitchen and bath design, remodeling, sales and manufacturing.

Since 2013, the program annually has selected these rising stars based on their career or educational achievements, leadership, and their commitment to excellence, continuing professional development and the advancement of the industry. The Class of 2022 is the 10th group of honorees, bringing the total of current and alumni members in the Thirties program to 300. The 2022 program is generously sponsored by Delta Faucet Co."  - Dianne M. Pogoda

This year, the NKBA Virginia State Chapter is proud to have 3 chapter members recognized:

Grace Sheehan, CLIPP, Kitchen Doctors

Grace Sheehan grew up surrounded by the ins and outs of the kitchen industry with her family’s award-winning kitchen remodeling and cabinet-refacing company, Kitchen Doctors. After graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Health & Exercise, she worked for a residential builder as a community sales manager, cultivating her passion for design. In 2020, she joined kitchen doctors as sales coordinator and design consultant. Between her CLIPP certification and bachelor’s degree, Grace has a strong understanding for overall wellness and comfort in design. She’s working toward an NKBA Remodeling Specialist Badge, serves as Programs Chair on the Virginia State Chapter board, and is also an active volunteer with the Richmond SPCA.

Michael Boone, Green Forest Cabinetry

As the Chief Information Officer of Green Forest Cabinetry, Michael Boone leads a dynamic, innovative and highly effective team. He utilizes his degree in Integrated Systems and Advanced Technologies to implement lean manufacturing techniques that improve production output while reducing overall costs. This is what allows the leading edge, fast-growing cabinet company to consistently deliver more value for less money to its customers. Michael’s belief is that everything can always be made better, and that is exactly what he and his team do each day.

Emily-Anne Walker, Oasis Showroom/APR Supply

Emily-Anne Walker has worked as a marketing specialist for Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery for five years. She graduated from Columbia University and interned with media firms including Nickelodeon, Disney’s ABC Television Group, Newsweek, The Daily Beast and Seventeen magazine, laying the foundation for a marketing career. In 2012, she was recognized as one of Newsweek’s 150 Most Fearless Women in the World for anti-bullying efforts and received the Presidential Service Award from President Barack Obama. She authored “FLAWD: How to Stop Hating on Yourself, Others and the Things That Make You Who You Are” (Penguin Random House, 2015), and founded WeStopHate.org — a global not-for-profit program with a mission to combat teenage bullying.
