Now Accepting Professional & Student Peak Awards Design Entries

The Peak Awards allow designers to display their talent and be celebrated by their peers. It creates engagement in the design community and fosters the growth and development of new ideas. The Peak Design Awards Gala will be held on June 22^ne at Mile High Station in Denver. NKBA Rocky Mountain Chapter members have the opportunity to submit kitchen and bathroom designs that inspire creativity and highlight the latest in design trends. Attendees will be surrounded by luxury at this year’s Black & White-themed Gala.

A panel of accredited designers will judge submitted works and awards will be presented to first, second, and third-place winners in multiple categories. Best before and after in both the kitchen and the bathroom categories in addition to the People’s Choice Award will be chosen.

Professional Contest Info

Each year at the Peak Awards Gala the NKBA Rocky Mountain chapter honors winning students from its Peak Student Competition. These amazing young designers attend the Peak Awards Gala for a night of fun and a chance to meet industry professionals in a relaxed setting. This is also a great opportunity for potential future employers to see some of the best student work in the region!

The Peak Student competition is held each year alongside the Peak Professional Competition. The student competition is set to the same requirements and design scenarios as the National Competition. This allows future professional designers to receive input and feedback on their projects prior to submitting to the National competition.

Thank You to our 2022 NKBA Rocky Mountain Chapter Board Members, and Welcome to our New Board Member, Delilah Collins!

We would like to say thank you to our Executive Board Members for the time, talent, and expertise they provided this past year. We appreciate their continued dedication to improving our Chapter. Many thanks to Maria Martin 2022 Membership Chair for her service to the NKBA Rocky Mountain Chapter.

Kitchens of the Future Student Contest Winner

This year NKBA National announced The Kitchen of the Future Contest as part of the Next Up Program. The Kitchen of the Future Contest was a short competition held for 8th & 9th-grade students from October 1st, 2022- October 31st, 2022 in order to introduce them to the Kitchen & Bath Industry. The winning student and their school each received a check for $250! Students were instructed to think about a problem that occurs in the kitchen and consider how it could be solved. Each participating student created a visual presentation describing the problem they see and a possible solution for it. Two schools in our chapter region decided to participate and our amazing judges had a great time reviewing the projects submitted by the students! We would like to thank Dr. Cameron Hays from Prairie Middle School in Aurora, CO, and Ms. Amy Balk from Falcon Middle School in Falcon, CO for encouraging their students to participate in this exciting new program. The Rocky Mountain Chapter felt all the participating students were deserving of a prize for putting in the extra effort it took to submit and added $10 gift cards for each participant!
