NKBA Piedmont Blue Ridge Chapter has adopted a volunteer project with the NEW “GIRLUp GVL”.  This nonprofit organization was Founded and created by Kim Morgan to empower marginalized Middle and High School Girls through positive experiences and relationships.
GIRLUp provides an enriching space for these young women to not only socialize but also study together in small groups, learn leadership skills, and get help with collage searches all the way through the admissions process.
Morgan runs the program, but she cannot do it alone.  This is a project where we, NKBA local chapter members, will be able to help make a difference in our community.  We are looking to pull our collective expertise to improve the Kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry areas of the house where these girls meet.
