Sessions begin at 7:30am, and our last session ends at 3:45pm, with a break for lunch.

Speaker: Rick Tappan, Marva Cambria
Rick Tappan is the Demand Creator for Cambria Quartz in North Carolina. He works for Marva the Galleria of Stone, the exclusive stocking distributors for Cambria Quartz in the mid-Atlantic region. Rick is a dynamic public speaker and has worked in and around the kitchen and bath industry for over 30 years. His welcoming style and experience make you feel at ease throughout your project. This, along with his strong attention to detail, raises the bar in this business.
QUARTZ FABRICATION TECHNIQUES –
This exclusive presentation by our own Rick Tappan will give you a foundational understanding of the superior characteristics and many applications of quartz surfaces. You’ll learn how quartz slabs are created, along with templating options and processes. In addition, proven fabrication techniques will be explored to help fulfill your design vision, along with installation requirements for quartz applications.

Danielle Karr is the Architect and Designer Program Manager for Control Smart Home Management Systems. She has an M.S. in Communications from Utah State. Currently in Utah, she willingly travels the country (both live and via internet platform) to discuss the benefits and features of having a Control 4 Smart Home System.

Dawn Renee has nearly 20 years of experience in the kitchen and bath industry. Her background is in interior design and international business. VitrA USA, The Silk Trading Company, and Donghia and several companies where she has built her career. Throughout the course of her professional life she has had a focus on showroom design. She has also studied the effects of interior design on the general population – psychologically, physiologically and sociologically. She has a full scope of showroom management, interior design and sales.
ITALIA DESIGN – HOW IT INFLUENCES US TODAY-
Italians have, throughout time, brought together a design esthetic where beauty, simplicity and balance work together. They have studied and honed the perfect combination of old world function and new world charm. This CEU will focus on Italian Design and how we can incorporate the simplicity, beauty and balance into the American Kitchen.

LINDA ROBINSON – PRO KITCHEN SOFTWARE
Linda has been in the Kitchen and Bath Industry for over 30 years as a designer, dealer and currently the VP of National Sales at ProKitchen Software. She has been with ProKitchen since 2009 and has enjoyed introducing design professionals to the new standard and the latest technology of Kitchen Design for our industry.
CAD DESIGN TECHNOLOGY AND ENGAGING WITH CLIENTS REMOTELY
This CEU will focus on today’s challenging climate of communicating design esthetics with the twist of working from a remote location. This CEU is a timely reminder that with technology and skill there is a way to help your customer create their dream space without frustration, miscommunication and rancor.

Candice takes pride in her work with Benjamin Moore. In her current role she supports Architects and Designers educational needs with presentations, courses, and Webinars that are approved for CEU credits. Provides product information to help us choose the right product for our projects. Assists with specification and job submittal developments to ensure that the appropriate products are specified for each application. Aids architects or designers with Benjamin Moore color tools to help make the best color selections for clients.
HOW COLOR INFLUENCES OUR LIVES
This CEU will focus on color – trends, influences and how color can enhance a mood, a feeling and create the right effect for all of our design needs.

DALANA DELGADO – FLOOR AND DÉCOR
Danela is the Southeast regional manager for Floor and Décor. One of her greatest joys is to impart pertinent information on the importance of selecting the right tile for your customer’s space.
PORCELAIN OR STONE – TILE AND STYLE
This CEU will take us on a journey to explore the different uses of porcelain tile or stone and why one material may be a better fit for your customer than another.
