As we step into 2026, I want to take a moment to reflect on what an incredible year 2025 was for NKBA Palouse. It was truly packed with connection, education, and growth. We kicked off the GVA Tour with a bang thanks to our generous sponsors and participating vendors, and we were fortunate to host outstanding CEU presenters, including Maria Steperphine, who joined us all the way from New Jersey. Our membership continued to grow, student involvement expanded, and all of it was guided by the fantastic leadership of Sadie Lake. 2025 was also a year of personal growth for me. I was honored to attend the NKBA Women2Women Leadership Conference and even more honored to be elected as your Chapter President. Thank you for the trust you’ve placed in me. I take this role seriously and am committed to serving our chapter with intention, enthusiasm, and care. As I step into this new role, I’m excited to welcome a refreshed and energized board. Please join me in welcoming: - Alicia Stone of Brothers Flooring + Design as our Membership Chair
- Connor Riedlinger of Hajoca as our Communications Chair
- Sadie Lake of Sadie Lake Designs as our Programs Chair
Looking ahead, 2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse, a symbol of energy, momentum, and forward motion. Our newly refreshed board is galloping toward a year full of innovative education, meaningful networking, and of course a lot of fun. A major focus this year is intentionally reaching kitchen and bath designers throughout our community and creating events that truly support them. Events that expand knowledge, strengthen professional networks, and elevate design excellence. We are committed to delivering programming that is relevant, inspiring, and practical for today’s designers. None of this is possible without the continued support of our industry partners. Our sponsors are the backbone of our chapter, making our education, events, and outreach achievable. If you are a vendor or partner looking for meaningful ways to connect with designers, we invite you to explore our sponsorship opportunities and be an active part of our chapter’s success. Thank you to our members, students, volunteers, and sponsors for your ongoing support. I’m excited for what we will accomplish together in the year ahead. Warm regards, Katie LaPoint Chapter President, NKBA Palouse |
