What makes you unique in the Kitchen and Bath Industry?Â
Â
I have a fashion background, worked in the fashion industry before owning a contemporary women’s clothing boutique in NYC and in KCMO and I believe that gave me an eye for good design and the ability to connect to people. I learned during those years that although a demographic maybe different, good design is a universal concept.
Â
What is one thing you learned about yourself since becoming a part of the Amberleaf Home team?Â
Â
I’ve been on the Amberleaf Home team since 2015 and we all continue to grow in our respective roles. I love meeting new people and understanding  our client’s needs.  Â
Â
Amberleaf Home is headquartered in Chicago, but the company is growing fast and is building its’ presence in California. What is your favorite part of being in Northern California since moving here?Â
Â
It’s such an exciting time in the company’s growth. When we decided to expand to the West Coast 4yrs ago to supervise the casework, millwork and counter top deliveries for Turk and Leavenworth in San Francisco, we couldn’t have anticipated the positive effects that project would have on our company. The most fulfilling part of being in the West Coast as been developing all the new relationships with clients and leaders in the industry. What is your favorite design style and why?
My father took me to see the Gateway Arch in St. Louis when I was 6 and shared his love of Eero Saarinen and all things Mid century with me. Mid century modern makes my heart sing. I love eclectic, clean design mixed with utilitarian purpose.
Â
Why do you Volunteer?Â
Volunteerism is a huge part of building community. Our NKBA community would not be what it is today without the dedication and commitment of our members who volunteer. I have a long and diverse history of volunteering and being a change agent for causes that relate to advancing the position of those in need. I have so much in my life and I am incredibly grateful for it, but it also drives me to make things better for those who don’t have what they need.Â
