Mid-Level Interior Designer

As a Mid-Level Interior Designer at Design & Decor, we’ll expect that you can perform a variety of design and technical tasks requiring application of standard techniques and knowledge gained through your experience in the field. Candidates should bring strong technical abilities and feel confident working in a self-directed manner as it pertains to all aspects of the design process.

As a part of the D&D team, you’re given the opportunity to be involved in projects in all phases – from design presentations and materials selections to renderings and construction documents – on a diverse range of projects.

As a Mid-Level Interior Designer you’ll work with direction from our design director and be responsible for specific technical design aspects and details, including lighting selections, permanent selections, architectural + millwork details, furniture and décor. We’ll expect that you’ll complete your work with an emerging responsibility for design and document accuracy and thoroughness.

This position requires coordination with project managers and the sales team, clients and internal team members, but most importantly, someone who is willing to take direction and turn that direction into results.

Finally, we expect that you’ll be able to create, review and evolve concept design options, stay on budget, and deliver within project schedules. Required to speak fluently with design team and clients about historical and current design trends.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-5 years related experience in Interior Design or Interior Architecture, preferably with a focus on residential work.
• Professional Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design or Architectural
• Versatility and experience in industry standard programs, including but not limited to, Chief Architect and SketchUp
• LEED AP, WELL AP, Fitwel accreditation and NCIDQ Certification are a plus
• Understanding and proven application of AI in design projects
• Required to speak fluently with design team and clients about historical and current design terms and trends, as well as designers.
