Why are you a part of NKBA and/or how does it add value to your company/team/clients:

I value being part of the NKBA because it supports both my professional growth and the industry as a whole. Being a member adds a layer of trust and credibility to my business, showing clients that we're committed to upholding the highest standards in kitchen and bath design. Maintaining NKBA certification ensures I stay current with evolving trends, technologies, and regulations — ultimately allowing me to deliver more informed, functional, and beautiful designs to my clients.

Please answer a few of the following as a fun fact:

  •       Cabinet Preferences; Frame/Frameless, Painted/Stained: I prefer frameless and stained, however, the majority of our clients want framed and painted.
  •         What is your favorite design style/or trend? Why?

My favorite design style is one that truly reflects the client’s lifestyle and personality. Every home should feel like an authentic extension of the people who live in it, not just a trend-driven space. That said, I’m especially drawn to the rustic, organic, and biophilic design aesthetic. I love incorporating natural elements—wood, stone, and greenery—that bring warmth and a sense of connection to nature. These materials add texture, depth, and timeless beauty to a space while also creating a calming, grounded environment. I believe that great design isn’t about following trends – it’s about crafting spaces that feel like home.

  •         Tell us about the most exciting project you’ve completed.

One of the most exciting projects we’ve completed was a whole-home remodel for a young family relocating to Minnesota from out of state. They wanted the house to be more functional for their growing family because the existing layout wasn’t a good fit for their family. We partnered with an interior designer while our team handled the build. The transformation was extensive—we removed walls to open up the space, built new walls to improve flow, installed brand-new flooring throughout, built a new bathroom and remodeled two others, and completely reconfigured and expanded the kitchen. Seeing the design take shape and the cohesiveness it created in the home was incredibly rewarding.

  •         Favorite spot to get lunch or happy hour as a team? The Muddy Cow in Stillwater
