It’s autumn in NYC at last, and that means cooler nights and busy sidewalks as New Yorkers turn out again for evening gatherings. While gridlock stopped traffic in Midtown for the UN General Assembly, Manhattan Chapter members and colleagues breezed into the airy SMEG showroom in the A&D Building for the September 22 Chapter meeting. Guests nibbled on bruschetta and ravioli while sipping wine and relaxing in the bright, recently remodeled space.

Sheri Mercadante, National Product Trainer, treated all to a lively review of the brand’s major appliances and explained the brand’s acronym: SMEG = Smalterie Mettalurgiche Emiliane Guastalla.

Jasmine Victory, Showroom Sales Manager, took attendees on a tour of SMEG’s captivating small appliances, highlighting the most popular— tea kettles and toasters.

Jason Sherwood, Regional Sales Manager Northeast, explained some special programs for designers, including the SMEG Personal Use Trade Program and Trade Discount Program. For more, email: jason.sherwood@smegusa.com.
