Job Title: Full-Time Kitchen and Bath Designer 

Company: Founded in 1993 in Roswell, GA, Schuon Kitchens & Baths is an award winning kitchen and bath design studio known for innovative designs,  attention to detail, and personalized service to clients. We offer cabinet lines  from Mouser Custom Cabinetry, Artcraft Kitchens, Plain & Fancy Custom  Cabinetry, and Schuon Custom Cabinetry, which is produced in our cabinet  shop. We provide clients with professional kitchen and bath design services  and work with homeowners and outside general contractors. We also offer  optional in-house licensed general contracting services. We specialize in  designing custom kitchens, bathrooms, mudrooms, laundry rooms, closets,  home offices, wet bars, entertainment centers, and other built-in custom  cabinetry solutions. Requirements: 

Experience

At least 5 years of experience in kitchen and bath design is required, with a strong  preference for candidates who bring 7-8 years of expertise. 

Education

4-year college degree in interior design is preferred, with a focus on kitchen and bath  design. Candidates with a 2-year degree and significant relevant experience will also be  considered. 

Industry Credentials

Credentials such as CKD (Certified Kitchen Designer), CBD (Certified Bathroom Designer),  or MKBD (Master Kitchen & Bath Designer) are valued but not required. 

Core Competencies

  • Strong design skills, with the ability to create functional, aesthetically  pleasing kitchens and baths that meet client goals. 
  • Excellent communication and listening skills to understand and translate  client objectives into design solutions following NKBA guidelines. 
  • Proficiency in CAD and a willingness to learn KCD software. 
  • Ability to manage the complete design process, including generating  detailed and accurate cabinet orders, as-built drawings, construction  

drawings, and lighting and MEP plans. 

  • Collaborative mindset for working with project managers, contractors,  and subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with renovation construction, including electrical, plumbing,  framing, and other trades, is a plus. 
  • Sales skills, with the ability to close design projects successfully.
