The NKBA Arizona Chapter is proud to share exciting news with our members and industry community: Jason Miller, Owner of Cedar & Fig Interiors and current NKBA Arizona Chapter President, has been appointed to the NKBA National Chapter Leadership Committee (CLC). His term will begin on January 1, 2026, and will continue through 2028.

This national appointment is a tremendous honor and reflects Jason’s ongoing commitment to supporting chapter leaders, elevating member engagement, and strengthening the NKBA community both locally and across North America.

About the Appointment

NKBA recently announced new volunteer members to three of its national committees—the Chapter Leadership Committee (CLC), Leadership Recruitment Committee (LRC), and KBIS Exhibitor Committee (KEC)—each serving a three-year term beginning in 2026.

Jason joins the national CLC, succeeding Julie Schuster, Principal of Julie Schuster Design Studio in New York, NY.

Meet Your National CLC Team

Jason will serve alongside the continuing CLC members:

  • Sadie Anderson – Vice President of Marketing & Design, CKF
  • Kimberly Kerl – Founder & Principal Designer, Kerl Design
  • Jason Miller - Owner | Interior Architect & Entrepreneur, Cedar & Fig Interiors
  • Rima Nasr – Interior Designer, RDesign Studio
  • Brianna Weiler – Vice President | Interior Designer, Kitchens by Charles Weiler

Together, this group will guide chapter-level support, leadership development, and member engagement initiatives across the NKBA’s nationwide chapter network.

What the CLC Means for Our Arizona Chapter

The Chapter Leadership Committee serves as a strategic bridge between local chapters and the NKBA National Staff.
Their work ensures that the needs, priorities, and experiences of chapters—like Arizona—are recognized at the national level.

The CLC’s responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and communicating member needs from chapters across the country
  • Supporting chapter officer teams with resources, guidance, and best practices
  • Leading chapter engagement initiatives that strengthen the member experience
  • Helping shape NKBA programs and national activations that benefit local chapters

With Jason’s appointment, the Arizona Chapter gains a powerful voice at the national table—one that understands our region’s unique strengths, challenges, and opportunities.

A Proud Moment for the NKBA Arizona Chapter

Jason has served the Arizona Chapter with unwavering dedication, creativity, and a deep passion for community building. His leadership has helped advance chapter programming, elevate partnerships, increase student engagement, and strengthen Arizona’s presence within the national NKBA network.

His selection to the CLC is not only a personal milestone—it is a milestone for our entire chapter.

This appointment reflects the strength of the Arizona design community and the contributions our chapter makes to the greater NKBA organization.

Join Us in Congratulating Jason

We invite all NKBA Arizona Chapter members, partners, volunteers, and industry peers to join us in congratulating Jason on this well-deserved national appointment.

We look forward to celebrating this achievement together at upcoming chapter events and to the positive impact Jason will continue to bring to both the Arizona Chapter and the NKBA national community.
