KBDN acknowledges a fresh cohort of trailblazers who, through their unwavering dedication to design and the industry, are shaping the future of the kitchen and bath trade. The 2023 Innovators, carefully selected by Kitchen & Bath Design News, comprise a diverse group of industry professionals. These individuals not only played a pivotal role in guiding the kitchen and bath sector recently but have also demonstrated exceptional leadership through their exemplary practices. Esteemed by their peers, the chosen individuals in this seventh class of Innovators actively contribute to educating industry members and future design talents, volunteer for meaningful causes within the design community and beyond, push the boundaries of design, and lead through entrepreneurial endeavors.

In a period of industry flux marked by labor shortages, prolonged lead times for materials, and escalating costs, professionals in the field bear the responsibility of maintaining operational efficiency and consumer confidence. Despite the challenges, leaders in the industry consistently explore and implement strategies to propel the field forward.

The latest group of innovators includes individuals actively engaged in professional organizations such as the National Kitchen & Bath Association, the American Society of Interior Designers, and the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. These individuals serve as presenters at seminars, mentors to those entering the field, and leaders of local chapters. They educate both professionals and clients about design possibilities, contribute to industry and business growth, and step outside their comfort zones to imagine, create, and inspire.

KBDN pays tribute to these industry leaders by annually naming them Innovators. The 2023 class, consisting of 28 individuals representing a cross-section of the design industry, is an invitation for readers to delve deeper into the profiles of these accomplished professionals.

Jason Miller's journey to success as an award-winning luxury kitchen and bath designer began with the realization that it is never too late for a career change. Unhappy in his role as a business analyst, Miller and his wife decided that he should return to school for interior design and architecture.

Now a designer with Cedar & Fig Interiors in Chandler, AZ, Miller achieved recognition by winning the 2021 Signature Kitchen Suite & Architectural Digest Technicurean Kitchen Design Contest, with his work featured in Architectural Digest. Additionally, Professional Remodeler magazine honored Miller as part of its Forty under 40 in April 2022, highlighting him as one of only eight interior designers in this exclusive group. His designs have graced lifestyle magazines across Arizona, and his signature style is prominently featured on various social media platforms.

Miller's foray into the design world was marked by personal determination, navigating the terrain without the guidance of a mentor. This experience has fueled his passion for sharing the knowledge he acquired and ensuring that aspiring newcomers in the field receive valuable mentorship and guidance.
