Prioritizing sustainability is not only better for the environment, it can also be a means of building a brand, of opening the door to exciting partnerships with like-minded clients, design-build pros and suppliers in the home improvement space. And according to NKBA’s recent trends reports, sustainability is growing in importance, with environmentally-friendly products becoming more popular in the kitchen and bath industry in the next three years. In addition, consumers in the market for a new home prioritize energy-efficient features over luxury items, according to the recently released annual Energy Pulse study from Shelton Group.

All this and more are reasons to attend NKBA’s special edition Design Webinar on August 30 at 12 pm ET, “Going Green: Tips for Prioritizing Sustainability in Your Design Process,” sponsored by Blum and featuring a panel of design experts including Michael Foti, Vice President, Renovation Angel, Jessica Petrino, Editorial Director, AJ Madison and Sarah Zohar, Founder & Lead Designer, Sarah Z Designs.

Panelists will cover topics integrating design and sustainability, such as the sustainability value proposition (and a new way of thinking about it), sustainability design strategies such as repurposing for reducing renovation impact on landfills, building a greener brand and much more, that will help designers create more eco-friendly, energy-efficient designs and build their base of clients looking for sustainable solutions. Ultimately, the panel will be about ‘installing a better future for all people and their households through sustainable design,’ as Sarah Zohar describes. There will also be a Q&A at the end so that attendees can ask panelists questions.
