The Met Gala is often referred to as “fashion’s biggest night out.” If that’s the case, the SoCal Chapter’s Award Gala is surely one of the “biggest nights out” for the Kitchen and Bath industry. The theme was “A Moment in Time,” and clocks and timepieces were decorated throughout the Irvine Marriott and beautifully incorporated into the actual design awards, distributed later in the evening.
The event was a great opportunity for the K+B industry to come together and celebrate in an intimate setting. And, like the met Gala, the event focused on several charities, with a donation made on behalf of each ticket sold.
The Gala went without a hitch, as over 100 party goers enjoyed an evening of dancing, drinks, and very fine dining — and social media ready, with a 360-degree photo booth, an experience designed to go beyond the selfie and capture 360-degree high-resolution videos. The open bar was adorned with a generously donated, beautiful ice sculpture with custom craft ice.
The movers and shakers of the SoCal Chapter were honored for their achievements, honoring 13 with prestigious design awards. The event also recognized the local chapter’s incoming NKBA Thirty Under 30 recipient, a distinction awarded to some of the industry’s biggest rising stars.
Media sponsor Iconic Life Magazine, the luxury lifestyle publication, featured members and award-winners in a 10-page spread in its February 2023 issue.
The finishing touch on this wonderful evening was a bottle of Temecula Wine Country wine and a buy-one-get-one wine tasting card for each attendee.
