Learn about a past Hall of Fame inductee. By Loren Kessell

Each year, the NKBA calls for nominations for the Kitchen & Bath Hall of Fame, to recognize professionals who have contributed to the growth, integrity, innovation and highest standards of the Association and the kitchen and bath industry as a whole. Nominations are open from August 15 to September 30, and if a nominee is chosen for induction, a ceremony will be held at KBIS 2023 in Las Vegas during the Kitchen & Bath Design + Industry Awards.

We’re highlighting NKBA Hall of Fame members each week, and today’s inductee is water conservationist Gunnar Baldwin. He joined the Japanese-based manufacturer TOTO in 1990 when the company opened its American subsidiary and served in numerous roles. He was a Water Efficiency Specialist that represented TOTO on several green building committees, including the first U.S. Green Building Council water efficiency technical advisory group, and was a charter director of the Alliance for Water Efficiency. He pioneered the first code-approved low-consumption toilet to reduce the environmental impact of wastewater, and lobbied for incentives for water conservation.
