Getting to Know Chapter Leadership Committee member Toni Sabatino, AKBD. By Steven Campeau

 

The purpose of the Chapter Leadership Committee is to provide a link between the grassroots of the Association, its chapters and NKBA National. They are charged with monitoring member needs and wants at the chapter level and conveying these needs to NKBA Staff. This important national volunteer committee is composed of 5 individuals who serve 3-year terms. This national election cycle, open now through September 30th, will include 1 open position for the CLC. If interested in applying for this position the application can be found here. Today’s “5 questions with…” is with Toni Sabatino, AKBD, owner of Toni Sabatino Style.

How did you get your start in the kitchen and bath industry and/or NKBA?

I worked in retail and then wholesale selling cabinetry. i got involved with the NKBA when i started my own design firm. 

What National Committee are you currently on and why did you want to volunteer for it?

CLC because i love the NkBA, the networking. education. thought leadership… the idea of talking shop with people that understand and want to listen really appeals to me! 

What is your favorite part of being an NKBA member and/or national volunteer?

The sharing and learning from each other, talking shop and networking. 

Do you have a current trend or product that members just have to know more about?

I think the “euro farmhouse” is an interesting trend. Rustic tones and warm finishes with European lines and simplicity.

What inspires you about the kitchen and bath industry and/or in your life?

I am inspired by the kitchen and bath industry because design matters … design positively impacts how people live and it is my job as a designer to help guide my clients to make the best possible long-term investment in both their lifestyle and what may be their most significant asset, their home.

Where is your favorite vacation spot and does that influence your home decor?

I love traveling so this is a difficult choice I think the Lake District of it we have a lot of updated antiquity that really set my mind in motion thanking about the grace a cold World and cutting edge of the European design. 

What are you most looking forward to this year, personally or professionally? (or both!)

I am looking forward to traveling, time with family and of course, KBIS in early 2023! 

What topic or area are you most passionate about in the kitchen and bath industry?

I love all of the new smart tech and connect appliances!
