Outdoor Oasis

Candace Nordquist, CMKBD, designed a space for her client to both entertain and relax with friends and family. It opens up to bay views and includes heaters, a fan, lighting, a fireplace and a barbecue area so it can be used during any type of weather year round. Durable Dekton was used for the half outside bar area, and the kitchen has two sliding doors that can be closed to keep the home cool while the entertainment area is in use.

Redwood Views

Leslie Lamarre, CKBD, and co-designer J. Michael McGinn, transformed a chaotic bath and closet space into a contemporary and luxurious bathroom for a high-powered executive couple. She kept the existing window that looks out to the redwood grove and provides natural light. The crystal chandelier mimics rainfall to bring a sense of peace, and the back-painted glass adds drama.
