See three featured kitchens showing off their best reds, whites and blues. By Loren Kessell
Celebrate the Independence Day holiday by getting inspired! We’re featuring three kitchens in red, white and blue designed by past NKBA Professional Design Competition winners. Here are some highlights:
Designer: Summer Thornton, Summer Thornton Design
Photographer: Werner Straube
Design Highlights: Thornton’s client wanted something bold and modern, and this oxblood kitchen inset with high-gloss panels, delivered. The fridge, dishwasher, trash and storage spaces are all fully integrated to keep them hidden from view.
Designer: Shai Arviv, Decori Kitchens
Photographer: Nicole Larson
Design Highlights: Arviv’s client wanted a modern kitchen designed to attract buyers. He added a framed cooktop to add dimension and uniqueness, various layers of lighting to fit every need and a finger-grip, handles-less system to eliminate the need for hardware on the base units.
Designer: Reisa Pollard, Beyond Beige Interior Design
Photographer: Stephen Li and Amanda Oster
Design Highlights: This is a modern twist on classic luxury featuring wooden floors in a herringbone pattern, a custom-designed gold hood fan and a fully working fry kitchen. Dark blue cabinetry helps hide appliances and provides storage.
