The Class of 2022 is in the spotlight. By Dianne M. Pogoda

NKBA’s Suzie Williford, EVP and Chief Strategy Officer, and Interior Design editor in chief Cindy Allen revealed the members of NKBA’s prestigious Thirty Under 30 Class of 2022 on a special episode of Sandow’s Design TV last week.

Williford and Allen talked about the program, which this year is sponsored by Delta Faucet Co., its benefits and how prior classes have thrived as a result of the networking and other opportunities afforded them. This incoming class is the 10th since the program started in 2013, and its members will be honored at KBIS in February in Orlando, Fla. There, they will be inducted in a ceremony on the KBIS NeXT Stage on Feb. 8, and participate in the Thirtys Choice Awards program. These awards honor products and design trends that the class deems to be most innovative at the show, across a range of categories.

The program recognizes elite rising stars across all disciplines of the kitchen and bath industry — from sales and design to manufacturing, construction and beyond — and was conceived to identify and celebrate the future leaders of the kitchen and bath industry. These accomplished young professionals have been nominated or supported by other pros who see their commitment to their careers and professional development, and think they have what it takes to lead the industry in years to come.

Williford and Allen welcomed two designers representing the new class — Jesse Jarrett, senior designer of Jarrett Design in Emmaus, Pa., and Cara Hansen, designer and founder of Triple Dot Studio in North Vancouver, B.C., to join in the conversation.

Next week, NKBA will begin rolling out a biographical series spotlighting the Class of 2022 on nkba.org and a separate 30s landing page. Two members of the class will be featured each week until KBIS. For a full listing of honorees, click here.
