Kohler Co. is bringing together more than three dozen thought leaders from the worlds of design, architecture, art, culture, marketing, business and its own corporate corridors to discuss a range of subjects and products affecting the way we live and work.
The conference, concentrating on wellbeing, design and inspiration, smarter homes and “Believing in Better,” will be livestreamed Nov. 4 and 5, with sessions available on-demand after the virtual conference.
CEO David Kohler will open the conference and welcome virtual guests with an overview of “Kohler Living” on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 12 noon (Eastern Time) and unveil a range of products designed to enhance wellbeing in the home. He’ll be followed by eight sessions each day, covering such diverse topics as the science behind the emotional experiences created through architecture and design; product design to create the perfect kitchen for the home chef and entertaining; essential elements of great design that fuse timeless qualities and directional trends; product innovations, and the intersection of art and craft in collaboration with Kohler product designers.
Day 2 features conversations, panels and explorations focused on smart-home technology, the importance of a design-led approach to home-tech innovation, intuitive technology, the infrastructure surrounding a safe global water supply, and other aspects of human-centered design.
Speakers include an array of leaders and strategic thinkers from across Kohler’s brands, product development, design, marketing, retail and technology departments, as well as guests from outside the company. Among these influencers, consultants, designers and forecasters are Mohamed Abdelgany, a product manager lead for Google Nest; Frantz Beznik, Global R&D Head of Sustainable Innovation at Procter & Gamble; Felicia Ratka, President of TBI Smart Home Solutions, Toll Brothers; Ima Shah, advisory strategist for trends consultancy Stylus; tech author Amber Case; artist Janet Echelman; Don Abraham, Senior Partner leading Kantar’s Foresight, Innovation and Sustainable Transformation consultancy; Emma Robbins, Executive Director of the Navajo Water Project DigDeep, a nonprofit that brings safe running water to members of the Navajo Nation, and many others.
