Welcome to September — KBIS registration is now open, and for the entire month, through Sept. 30, registration for North America’s biggest and best trade show dedicated to everything kitchen and bath is free to NKBA members.

Discounts apply during the “September Special,” on one-day and three-day Voices from the Industry Conference packages as well as for spouse/significant other registration.

For NKBA members: expo passes are free, VFTI three-day passes are $325, and one-day passes are $250. Non-exhibiting manufacturers or suppliers who are NKBA members may register for $550.

For non-NKBA members: expo passes are $50, VFTI three-day passes are $500, and one-day passes are $325. Non-exhibiting manufacturers or suppliers who are not NKBA members may register for $600.

Early-bird rates are in effect from Oct. 1 to Dec. 7, regular rates apply from Dec. 8 to Feb. 16, and on-site rates are in effect from Feb. 17 to 21. See attendee pricing for full details.

The NKBA, along with KBIS, is proud to once again support This Old House Ventures’ Generation Next campaign to encourage and empower young people to join the skilled trades. In another exciting development, NKBA will  present four Professional Development courses as part of its Voices from the Industry Conference at KBIS 2019. The seminars are two hours each, and offer 0.2 CEU credits and 2 Education Hours toward earning or maintaining AKBD, CKBD or CMKBD certification. These are included in the purchase of VFTI passes.

Each takes place in Room N230 of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

First up, on Tuesday, Feb. 19, from 8 to 10 a.m. (Pacific Time), Kathryn Grube, MID, NCIDQ, LEED AP ID+C, will present “Color and the Senses: Exploring Synesthesia + Current Color Trends.”

Following this course, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Jamie Briesemeister, sales and marketing director for Integration Controls, a smart home automation company, will uncover why home technology is an important part of the design process in “Embracing Smart Technology in Your Kitchen & Bath Designs.”

On Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 8 to 10 a.m. (Pacific Time), interior designer and lighting specialist Karyn Judd Reilly, CKD, NCIDQ, will discuss “The Practical Application of Lighting Design for Kitchens and Baths.”

Finally, On Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., author, consultant and industry veteran John Morgan will presentGenSales 5: Keys to Your Five-Year Generational Sales Success.”
