The National Kitchen & Bath Association has revealed the esteemed team that will determine the winners for its NKBA 2019 Design Competition — Deadline to enter is July 2!
There’s still time to enter and compete for $62,000 in prizes in the industry’s most prestigious kitchen and bath design competition.
Entrants will get their work in front of this highly regarded panel of judges:
- Kathryn Given, Senior Design and Market Editor, Luxe Interiors + Design magazine, New York;
- Bob Borson, AIA, LEED AP; NKBA Insider and Architect, Malone Maxwell Borson Architects, Dallas;
- Deborah von Donop, NCIDQ, LEED; Principal, dvd Interior Design, Old Greenwich, Conn.;
- Christine Dreith, CMKBD; Founder, Home Improvements Group Inc., Woodland, Calif.;
- Geeta Kewalramani, CKD, CBD, AiiD; Principal, Kimaya Designs, Ontario;
- Veronika Miller, CEO, Modenus Digital Media, Winter Springs, Fla.

NKBA’s annual contest recognizes excellence in design and execution of residential kitchen and bath projects. To be eligible, designers must be NKBA members and projects must have been completed between January 1, 2017, and July 2, 2018. The competition closes July 2.
Winners will be recognized at the elegant Design Competition and Industry Awards on Feb. 18, the night before KBIS 2019 opens. The expo runs Feb. 19-21, 2019.
Category awards carry the following prizes: First Place: $3,000; Second Place: $2,000; Third Place: $1,000. There are also prizes for Best Universal Design for a kitchen or bath ($2,000), and grand prizes for Best Overall Kitchen and Best Overall Bath are $10,000 each. Finally, the honorary Clay Lyon Builder/Remodeler award is presented to the winning project submitted by a builder or remodeler.
In addition, the overall winning kitchen and bath designs will be featured in an issue of Luxe magazine.
